The Sacred Art of Horizontalling
A movement of rest: The practice of being.
What if there's a fundamental assumption about being human that is wrong?
What if we are not supposed to be 'up and doing' for so much of the day? Animals lie down to rest many times throughout the day, absorbing sunlight, birdsong, and the world around them. How often do most people do that, even for 5 minutes? For some, the body endures gravity and stimulation all day long. But we are human beings, right?
This is why I encourage Horizontalling.

Horizontalling is the sacred art of non-doing - practices that are doorways into states of being and flowing, bringing us into greater coherence with the whole of life. We need this more than ever. Horizontalling is actually our main job right now, to get back in tune with the One whom we are in our core essence. When we pause and enter the silence, we remember the endless ripples of the Divine - the Divine we are, in multiple forms over space and time, dancing with itself.

Horizontalling describes practices that help us access this mode of being. It is a slow pace - think of whales cruising in the deep. And what position are they in? Horizontal! In the line of least resistance, they go with the flow. They are not pushing, pulling, or driving. They are simply at one with the waters and their surrounds - other beings, sounds, and signals - in deep listening to the Oneness around them.
But how do we get to this place?
Start on the inside - at the heart. The most powerful spiritual practices support the embodiment of the heart, amplifying its signal until it fills the entire energy field: physical, etheric, emotional, mental, spiritual. From this place we are pulsing beacons of light. Luminaries of Love. Expressions of Divine Grace on Earth. As humans, we become more refined in our energy signature.

Which brings us to the plants. Each plant has its own vibratory energy signature - a note, a collection of Divine qualities that form its Essence (its oversoul energy, if you like). They are intelligences, beings, entities in their own right. These have been referred to as Devas - the Shining Ones of the natural world.
Like the whales, plants live and grow in perfect flow; attuned, present, allowing the “motion of the ocean” to move through them. They do not veer from their natural design, and so transmit Divine majesty. They are Masters at Horizontalling.

Because of this, plants are powerful allies and teachers. They restore us to the big-picture of Oneness and our intrinsic Divinity. As multidimensional beings, plants can transport us into time-space - a realm of no space and time, where we may access all space and time. The Soul gathers what it needs to awaken us to our true identity, to our Selves in the greatest, most whole sense. To co-create the highest version of ourSelves in human form.

This is our natural design - living in the heart, gently, no rush, moment to moment. Like a flowing river, all unfolds effortlessly. We become a stream of Divine Abundance.
